The Writing Center provides free tutoring for all student at ELAC. During the thirty-minute session, tutors first concentrate on thesis development, paragraph structure, overall essay cohesiveness, and close reading of the text if applicable. Tutors may also point out language error patterns if time allows.
The Writing Center offers on-going workshops, which are small-group discussions that focus on a particular topic such as thesis development, essay outlining, close reading of texts, and MLA formatting. Other workshops focus on grammar issues like run-on sentences and fragments.

The Writing Center's Online Writing Lab (OWL) extends it's services to students taking online course and/or to students who do not have the time to come to the Writing Center. OWL provides students with many of the same services as the physical lab, including one-on-one tutoring and grammar programs. Integrating ELAC's moodle, students must create and use a Moodle account to use these services.
