The South Gate Writing Center is now providing walk-in guided tutoring for all students. This tutoring style assists you in writing your essay while being tutored so that you can leave with at least parts of your essay completed or revised by the time you leave.
When you come into the Writing Center, a tutor will ask you how long you want to stay and how much you want to accomplish during the tutoring session. After assessing your needs, the tutor will create a sequence of activities appropriate for your timeframe that will guide you to complete at least part of your assignment while teaching you to improve your overall writing skills. To make it easy for you, you will be guided to complete a small part of your essay at a time, and once you complete one activity, the tutor will check it and move on to help you with the next step in your assignment. You may stay as long as you like.
