The Writing Center offers on-going workshops, which are small-group discussions that focus on a particular topic such as thesis development, essay outlining, close reading of texts, and MLA formatting. Other workshops focus on grammar issues like comma splices, run-on sentences, and fragments. Workshops rotate throughout the semester. If a student cannot attend a specific workshop due to a scheduling conflict, that workshop is likely to be offered again at a different time and date. The length of a workshop is fifty-five minutes.
